Are you looking for new yoga clothes? Then you are not alone. Over the last decade, yoga as a form of exercise has exploded in the Western world and today it is estimated that up to three million brits regularly practice yoga in various ways.

Unsurprisingly, this has resulted in an increased need for great yoga clothes, a demand that we here at Relode are determined to meet. That's why we've created several ranges of workout clothes that are perfect for yoga as well as this simple guide on what you should consider when looking for new yoga clothes.

So let’s get to it!

Flexibility

Flexibility and yoga go hand in hand. In fact, yoga requires high flexibility from both the yogi and her clothing. Therefore, it’s crucial to buy yoga clothes that provide great flexibility and stretch. Now, this is the case with most workout clothes but it is definitely more important for those who practice yoga.

Softness

Chafing and irritation can occur quickly when you sweat during intensive workouts. Because of this, you should opt for yoga clothes that are soft against the skin, preferably in a seamless material. For obvious reasons, this is even more important if you practice hot yoga or Bikram.

Note! Our designers are experts in seamless materials and several of our popular collections are 100% seamless. If you haven’t tried this type of material before, we highly recommend it!

Skin-tight

Most yogis prefer skin-tight yoga pants and yoga clothes because this type of design better follows the natural flow of your body without restricting your movements. The last thing you want is your yoga pants rolling up while you're pushing yourself through a segment of your class.

At the same time, some prefer to wear loose-fitting clothes that are still flexible and comfortable to wear.

Sustainability

People also tend to prefer sustainable yoga clothes that are both durable and environmentally friendly. We always keep this in mind when designing our clothes and the result is several collections with high-quality clothes, many of which are seamless which significantly reduces the amount of material used in the production process.

Relode's Mercy collection is superior for yoga

As most of us who work at Relode practice yoga regularly, and as we only design clothes that we use ourselves, a large proportion of our workout clothes are perfectly suited to yoga.

However, out of all our collections, one stands out, namely the Mercy collection. It's a much-loved collection that we recently updated with several new pieces, including one of our best-fitting tops ever.

The collection currently consists of yoga pants/tights and crop tops. Mercy yoga pants are available in a variety of designs, including long and three-quarter length. The tops can be found in tight-fitting sports bra variations as well as in a looser design. In the collection, you will also find a cropped hoodie that is perfect for lighter yoga sessions, yin yoga as well as going back and forth to your yoga studio. In terms of colours, you can choose from light blue, purple, black or grey.
